About Tanya Marsh

Tanya began dancing at the age of 3 and soon became addicted, entering numerous competitions she found success winning medals and trophies. At the age of 8 Tanya won a place at the prestigious Royal Ballet as a Junior Associate.

Tanya was one of the original members of Damuus Dance Co for Louise Denison, performing for many years before turning professional.

Tanya later embarked upon a full time performing arts course at S.L.P. College in Leeds. Whilst studying, she was successful in reaching national finals held at Bloomsbury Theatre, London, being awarded Tap Champion of England.


After numerous successful competition wins and gaining ISTD teaching qualifications she decided to become a professional dancer. Tanya was successful in her first audition for the national UK tour of "Singing in the Rain" which took her on tour to over 20 theatres for a year.


A short time after she was on her way to the Caribbean where she joined Carnival Cruise Lines visiting over 10 destinations around the world dancing and performing.


Tanya has over 20 years of experience in the dance school industry and has found great success running friendly, fun and enjoyable dance classes at her very own dance school, Willis Academy of Dance, providing ISTD syllabus and non-syllabus dance classes to children from across West Yorkshire.


Established in 2008, the school, based in Clifford, Leeds, has already produced many fantastic performances including large scale dance shows "Take One", "A Night At The Movies", "Music Legends" and most recently "A Musical Spectacular" which was a huge success enjoyed by both performers and audience alike.


Tanya played Lorraine in 42nd Street at Leeds Grand Theatre and most recently performed in sold out performances of the musical Cats at Leeds Grand Theatre playing a lead role of Bombalurina.


Tanya is also a qualified Acrobatic Arts teacher running sold out acrobatics classes during the week. In the past Tanya has also guest taught at Scala Performing Arts Stage school in Leeds and is a fully qualified Zumba instructor, teaching with boundless energy, enthusiasm and always with a smile on her face.


Most recently Tanya has started a dance competition team participating in local dance competitions which has been a hit with the pupils.
